Area outside relocation site. A rice plantation and a hut in eastern Tavoy. Rice crop and other plantations such as betel nut, etc. are a major source of income for the people in forced relocation sites. However, most of the time the crops are destroyed or disrupted by the army and caused the people to face more poverty. Many times betel nut plantations were cut down and rice crops destroyed by Burmese army to punish the villagers.
