A Tavoyan
woman, survived the Burmese army attack. She traveled with a group
of villagers from forced relocations sites in the east of Tavoy
to Thailand to sell cattle.
Burmese
troops opened fire on the group of travelers who were having breakfast.
Two boys were shot dead and one man was wounded. The soldiers took
some of their cattle and belongings.
Many
villagers in Burma and forced relocation sites risk their live to
travel, sell cattle and find jobs in Thailand. Many times they have
been killed, their money and cattle were stolen by Burmese army
and stepped on landmines.
