Every time SPDC troops arrived to the displaced people's hideout, they completely burn the rice supply, if they find it. Burmese troops also destroy crops and other food. This is the Burmese army tactic to leave the displaced people without any option to survive. It causes food scarcity among thousands of displaced people. Many displaced people survive by boiled rice and mix it with other vegetable, leaves and roots they find in the jungle.
