Hser Moo is a 14 year old Karen boy, who uses the dirt to make bullets for his slingshot to shoot bird. He hunt and shoot bird during school holidays. He can kill between 30 and 40 birds per day, but sometimes only 3 or 4. The birds are used to feed his mother and family. Hser Moo said, "My mother very happy when I brought the birds." My mother told me my village is The Nyaw Hse (Kanyin Chaung). I can't remember. I want to go back to my village if there is peace". I want to be a doctor, and care my people.

In Burma shooting bird is a part of the boyhood-culture for people in the rural communities. It is the same for many boys living in the refugee camps.
