Soldiers are mostly seen as violent but they are also are human beings. Soldier can cry. Soldiers themselves become victims of war, the casualty of arm conflict. The life of Karen soldiers as freedom fighters is isolate, lonely and most of the time they are in the jungle and poor. They came from many backgrounds. Some their family members were killed by Burmese army, some for the Karen cause and people, and others have differen reasons.

In the Burmese Army soldiers do not want to join the army. Many were forcibly conscripted and trained to be violent and ordered to commit atrocities against the defenseless ethnic and Burmese people. Many of them were abused at the hand of their officers.
